S’Archittu small village in the municipality of Cuglieri, its beauty stands out thanks to an arch-shaped rock conformation that over the years has been shaped by atmospheric agents.
The rock is 15 meters high, where people organize themselves in different sizes to perform amateur and international level dives.
The Arch is easily accessible from the seafront of the hamlet of S’Archittu with a short walk. During storm surges it is easy to realize the erosive power of the waves: the peninsula of the arch and the nearby islets are overwhelmed.
A little further north, at the “Genoese” cave, you can observe the wave train entering the channel and the subsequent “shot” of the water column and then imagine the work done to pierce the arch.
Starting from Alghero it is about 80 KM passing through the provincial road 105 Alghero – Bosa and the SS 292 north-western Sardinian road, travel time about 1.30 H.
